The Winter Horses
Kalinka is a Ukrainian orphan, living off the land in a wildlife reserve during WWII. She meets some horses who seem to be living works of ancient cave art: they are Przewalski's horses. But then, all but two on the reserve are killed.
With the help of a kind old man named Max and a loyal wolfhound named, will Kalinka be able to save the two remaining cave horses - possibly the last of their kind?
