Arabian


The Arabian is one of the world's most ancient breeds. It is often recognized by its unique head shape, with the tea cup muzzle.

Origins: unknown - but possibly the Arabian Peninsula
Type: light horse
Coats: bay, gray, chestnut, black, and roan
Traits: Arabians are known for their convex nose shape and high tail carriage - this makes them one of the easier breeds to identify.
Average height: 14.1 - 15.1 hands
Average weight: 770 - 1,000 lbs (350-450 kg)
